CHARLES ROBERT BRIDGES, Sr. Charles Robert Bridges, Sr., 90, of West Palm Beach died on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Hospice, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife, Olga, of 69 years, and son, Robert E. Bridges, who died in Vietnam. Survived by sons, Charles R. Bridges, Jr., Royal M. Bridges; daughter, Patti Lambert and husband, Richard Lambert. He was blessed with ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Born in Calais, ME, lived in Granby, CT, where he retired from Pratt & Whittney Aircraft. Moved to Lantana, FL where he resided for 30 years. Also lived in Fayetteville, NC, and Loxahatchee, FL. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, was a Mason at Masonic Lodge #36 in Granby, CT, and a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner in West Palm Beach. He was on the Granby Police Department, as a constable and Civil Defense Director. Ashes will be scattered by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL, 33407. Grandpa I just want you to know not a day has gone by that I haven't thought of you. We will keep our promise that we made to you for the kids & we will see you again one day!!!
