Charles Bruscato Obituary
Charles Paul Bruscato, 66, of Independence, MO, passed away on April 27, 2022. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home.
Charlie was born September 16, 1955, to the late Charles and Joyce Bruscato in Kansas City, MO. He worked for the Circuit Court for 46 years. He loved to play basketball, bowl, go to the lake with all his friends since childhood, and most of all watch his son play sports.
Charlie was preceded in death by his brothers Nick and Anthony. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Vicky; son Charles of Chicago; brother Paul; and sisters Donna and Mary.

Dear Vicky and Charles and all of the Bruscato family, my deepest sadness and sympathy is sent to you as I’ve just heard of Charlie’s passing. Words cannot express the depth of the comfort and blessings I send to you. Having worked with both of you for 13 years. I want you to know how much he (and you too Vicky) were touched by those you shared your lives with us. Charlie’s continued and ever ready smile and joy for life was felt by all of those he came in contact. I look back on those days with much fondness and love for you. We shared our lives to such a point we worked hard but were a true team and family. Again, My deepest love and prayers to you!

Charlie, I'll miss your phone calls every other Friday asking me what's going on the smoker this weekend. After my reply, you would always give me suggestions for my next cook. I really enjoyed those conversations.

Vicky I didn’t see this until 7pm on May 4. I am very sorry for your loss.. very surprised at this sad news. My condolences to you and your son. I remember all the times I went up to the 8th floor of the courthouse to ask for help from both of you regarding supplies. Hard to believe how long ago that was! My prayers are with you. Take care.

Charlie and I worked in the same building for the past several years. When our paths would cross, he always had a quick smile, asking how the family was doing and how life was going. He was a very strong presence and his passing has certainly left a void. My deepest sympathies to his friends and family.

Never met a nicer, funny, genuine, caring person than Charlie. I had only seen him angry once in the 23 years I worked with him. I was blessed to have known Charlie and his wonderful wife Vicky whom I also work with. He has touched many lives and was more than just a co-worker, but also a good friend! We will miss you Charlie!

Charlie always had the best smile and the biggest heart. He was always calling people just to make sure they were doing OKay, he could always make me laugh. He said our department was family, he meant it and he made sure of it, he would talk about our next department get-together months in advance, just in anticipation.
I can't think of Charlie without smiling. I know he is now having a beautiful Heavenly reunion with family and friends who have passed before him and will be waiting with that big smile of his for those of us who come after him.

I worked with Charles and Vicky for almost 16 years. They were both people who I thought of as good friends and wonderful co-workers. Our sorrow over Charlies passing and Vicky and their son is heart felt. We will always remember the great times we had and know we will be with them again. In 1975 my life was changed forever when a young Charles Bruscato came to work at the Circuit Court. 46 years of consistent improvement and accomplishment led to promotions at the Circuit Court. I worked with Charlie for the first 35 of those years. During that time he went from co-worker to friend to best friend to brother. I hope to be with you again sometime. I love you my brother. Rest in peace.

Our hearts are breaking for you. We have had the pleasure of working with you and Charlie for over 35 years. Charlie was truly the nicest, most caring and generous person we've ever known. Charlie was such a hard worker and he would do anything to help a coworker, even outside of work on his own time. He would call periodically just to see how "the sisters" were doing.
