Charles C. "Chuck" Fink

Charles C. "Chuck" Fink MULLINS - Mr. Charles Cleveland "Chuck" Fink, 72, husband of Irene Sawyer Fink, died Monday, December 1, 2009 at his home after an illness. He was born June 29, 1937 in Hinton, West Virginia, a son of the late Loris Fink and the late Laura Jane Allen Conners. Mr. Fink was retired from the US Navy, after 20 years of service. He also retired from Dyn-Corp, with whom he was employed with at Pax River, Maryland Naval Station. He was a Viet Nam War veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW. Mr. Fink was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. Fink in addition to his wife of the home are: his Children: Ricky Fink of Louisiana, Micky Fink of Denver, N.C. and Ronny Fink of West Virginia; 2 Step-Children: Terry W. Johnson of Callaway, Md. and Kathy Lynn Higgs and her husband Bert of Hollywood, Md.; 16 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Sisters: Rebecca Jane Edgar and her husband Tom of Las Vegas, Nevada and Sharon Smith and her husband Jim of Prescott Valley, Arizona. Mr. Fink was predeceased by a son, David Fink and a daughter, Pamela Janney. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 5 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Doug Hooks officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in McMillan Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
