Dear Gilmore Family,
I just learned of Charlie´s passing last year. I am so sorry for your loss. While it as been many years since my family left Plymouth for Florida, I always ride down Warren Ave to take in the view of our old homesites during my visits back home. Those sights take me back to the high school memories of Charlie. The memory that sticks out is Charlie driving us to school and watching him play basketball. By the way, he was always running late but he never seemed to care.
My condolences to the entire family.
Heartfelt sympathies,
Sherree Frazier

I just heard, so very late, about Charlie's passing last year. I'm stunned. There aren't many people I know who were more full of life and joy. I was a client of Charlie's and always looked forward to my annual visit with him. We would debate things (fiercely, his favorite way), tell stories, and laugh and laugh for the time I was there. I'm so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful soul; my condolences to Kerry and his entire family.

The last time I attended a funeral for a Gilmore, it was June of 1977, Forty five years ago, we buried John, Charlie left the cemetery alone in the limo, riding in the back by himself like a king to the manor born. I guess he was a king in his own way, living up to the Gilmore tradition of generosity and service. My condolences on his loss. It's hard to lose someone like him so soon. Charlie was a truly great guy. Kind, funny and easy going. Kindest thoughts to his family. How fortunate to have him as a husband and father.

It was always an occasion when Charlie paid us a visit at Holy Cross. The man knew how to tell a story and, in the grand Gilmore tradition, always had a dozen or so at his fingertips! Thoughts and prayers to the entire family. He will be missed.

I was saddened to hear the passing of Charlie at a recent gathering of St. Anselm alumni in West Palm Beach, FL. He was a big man with even a bigger heart always eager to help even when not asked. We had not seen each other since I lived on the South Shore many years ago but that did not mean I often thought of him and all of the gang from our St. Anselm days. Gone to soon.

I´m sorry I missed the opportunity to have known Charlie, but he was a dear friend to my father Jim, who cherished their time together.

Charlie was someone who made an impression; someone you wouldn't forget. He was larger than life. I'd like to share some thoughts to honor the person I met 43 years ago at our alma mater, St. Anselm College.
He had a great smile and a contagious laugh. He loved to tell stories and could debate any topic. He loved history and read voraciously, impressively absorbing dates, facts and figures. He loved economics and studying the stock market. He was a leader, president of his high school class. He made friends easily and always put those he met at ease, making them feel welcomed. He was a star basketball player and continued to play the game well into his adult life. He loved card games, poker, blackjack and games of strategy, such as Risk and Monopoly. He loved music and often sang along to the artists in his extensive collection of albums and CDs. He loved traveling to explore new places, especially National Parks in an RV. He loved the Gilmore family and was very proud of the legacy they held in the Town of Plymouth. He especially loved Plymouth and knew every inch of the town. He loved his daughters and cherished the time he had with them. He was the beloved father of three independent, confident women, who all are gracious, fearless, and adventurous. He left us too soon and we will all miss him greatly. I will think of him as an angel watching over us in the years ahead. God Bless you Charlie.

My brother touched many people's lives and will be missed dearly. His time here was too short and our family is reassured that he will be surrounded by the souls of his father, brother, aunts and uncles. We loved your smiling face, wonderful stories, and positive attitude towards all you tried to create and accomplish. Miss you brother.
