Chester Williams IV

Chester Williams IV, Age 63, of North Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully in Zion, Illinois, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. He was born March 1, 1961, in Birmingham Alabama to Delores Ann (nee Bibb) and Chester Williams III. Chester was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, dedicated his life to Jehovah, and was baptized in 1990. He served as a full-time minister of Jehovah for 20 years. He is remembered for his love of Jehovah, his kindness, and his infectious smile and laughter.

Chester is survived by his wife Sharon Maria Williams (nee Coleman) and 3 daughters, Devona Stubblefield, Dominica (Michael) Kemp, and Denine (Dwight) Johnson, all of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by three stepsons, Brian Luicus Coleman of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dawine Marcus Coleman of Memphis, Tennessee, and Jarime Coleman of Illinois. Chester has four loving brothers and one sister, Percy Williams, Maurice Williams, Lawanda Denise (Stephen) Morenzoni, and Frederick (Nekita) Williams, all of North Chicago, Illinois. He was blessed with 18 grandchildren, Daveion, Jashaun, Seray, Jari, and Cecil Stubblefield; Sei, Hazel, Tahlia, Zariyah, Za'Cai Kemp; Isaac Williams, Imani, and DJ Johnson all of Kansas City, Missouri, Mersadi Faith Coleman of Champaign, Illinois, N'Diya Amore Jade Hopkins of Rockford, Illinois, Briesha Coleman of Houston, Texas, Jazmin Denise Coleman of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Legacy Orion Coleman of Memphis, Tennessee. Finally, he was surrounded by a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2222 Argonne Drive, North Chicago, Illinois 60064

What I remember most about Chester was his hearty laugh. I often think of the time we spent in early morning witnessing, him leading the group faithfully through the dark until the morning light.
