Christine Mary Orlowski, 71, passed away on February 26, 2025, in Agawam, Massachusetts. Born on May 28, 1953, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she was the beloved daughter of Genowefa and Michael Orlowski.

Christine was a hard working individual whose love for plants and gardening defined much of her life. For over 50 years, she and her devoted partner, Michael Tomaszewski of Holyoke, nurtured and sold perennial plants from their greenhouses and farm fields at farmers' markets and flea markets. Christine and Michael also worked as private gardeners, bringing vibrant landscapes to many homes with their expertise and care.

Christine found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid movie buff and music lover who delighted in visiting Disney World. She enjoyed exploring tag sales, thrift stores, artisan and craft fairs, and flower shows-always appreciating creativity and nature's beauty. Her love for the outdoors extended to the coast, where she cherished visits to the ocean and fresh seafood. On the farm, she had a special place in her heart for animals, taking in stray cats and caring for her beloved chickens.

Christine's generosity shone brightest during the holiday season. Giving gifts was her love language, and she especially delighted in showering her nieces and nephews with thoughtful presents at Christmas. Her warmth extended to all who knew her; she was a loving and devoted partner to Michael Tomaszewski; she was a loving sister to Irene Gagne and her husband Gerry of South Hadley; Edward Orlowski and his wife Diana of Middlefield, Massachusetts and Brenda Chamberlain of Elora, Ontario, Canada ; She also leaves behind Debra Tomaszewski; and Gregory Tomaszewski and his wife Debbie and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will fondly remember her kindness.

Christine will be deeply missed by those who knew her best-her family, friends, and all who were touched by her generosity and sense of humor. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.

A Celebration of Life memorial buffet will be held for family and friends on March 16 from 12:00-3:00 at Summitview Banquet and Meeting house

Chris was not only my cousin but a true friend when my family moved here from Canada. I will always remember the fun times we had together like camping at the cape and seeing Elvis in New York. She was humble and kind and had a great sense of humor . Rest in peace, Chris.
