Christopher Bloomfield Obituary
BLOOMFIELD CHRISTOPHER On August 16th sadly passed away after a short illness, former teacher at North Halifax Grammar School (The Highlands), Chris aged 65 years, much loved father of Julia, Martin and Angela and dear grandad of Rebecca, Charlotte, Oliver and Samuel. The funeral service will take place on Friday August 27th at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium at 1.30pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Prostate Cancer Charity, a plate will be provided at the crematorium.

A great loss
A passionate, enthusiastic, really excellent teacher, Mr. Bloomfield was also a thoroughly decent and kind human being. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have been taught by him and my thoughts are with his family at this very upsetting time.

Still remembered
Mr Bloomfield was my French and German teacher throughout my time at The Highlands Grammar school 1970 to 1977 and I had spoken to him on a few occasions about my time at the school since my own children joined the school. It is sad that he has not had long to enjoy his retirement. My thoughts are with his family.
