Chris was such an impactful person in my life and I'm deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was the first person to take a chance on me give me professional experience in NYC. I have so many fond memories of our time together at B&N; he was always incredibly kind and had an infectious laugh - I feel really honored that I got the chance to work + know him. Sending my thoughts and prayers to his family

Chris's wife Linda is my sister and we are from a family of six sisters, no brothers. As we grew up our brothers-in-law became very important to all of us. I was so happy to have Chris in our family. He and Linda could not have been a better match for each other. Their shared love of music, art, reading, travel and cooking which they shared with their children made a very happy life for them. Memories of Chris will provide happy thoughts throughout our family for years.

So sorry to learn of Chris's passing. I admired his love of life and his music. I always enjoyed reading of his adventures in Italy. Chris was a great man who will be sorely missed.

We appreciated the warmth, kind smile, and conversations we had with Chris in passing. So many neighbors come and go without so much as a nod. He was a good and decent person who we will miss. Though Chris is gone, he still lives in your heart and in the hearts of your children, loved ones and friends. Cherish your precious memories, they will give you strength. With deepest sympathy from our family to yours.

If you're fortunate, a person enters your life who sets an example for you to follow in your life. An example you strive to replicate. I am blessed that Chris was someone who provided that example. I am thankful for knowing him.

I met Chris at Scuola Italiana, where he and his wife enrolled in my classes of Italian several years ago. Chris had a great passion for the culture of his ancestors and he soon became very proficient in Italian. Over the years, I had the privilege to enjoy his and Linda's friendship.
The intelligence and the humor of this great man, our chats in Italian and our laughter will always stay with me.
R.I.P. amico mio.

Chris was a large part of my work-life for 25 years in our Barnes & Noble family. He was both tough and fair, shrewd and funny and showed many kindnesses throughout the years. We stayed connected on Facebook and I grew to know more of his wit and depth through his musings, his haikus, and his music, with the devotion to his family as an underlying theme. He will be deeply missed. My condolences to all who loved him.

I worked with Chris at Lord and Taylor years ago and I remember him as warm and funny, sometimes quiet but when he spoke everyone listened. Chris was well liked and respected. Condolences and prayers to Chris' family and friends.

I keep remembering Chris singing Forever Young during the marriage of Meg and Ry. I wish he could have remained forever young. I will miss his daily haikus along with his presence in our shared granddaughter's life.
