Clayton Provost Obituary
He attended city schools and then worked with Paul E. Guay Trucking for 17 years. He then went to work for the City of Plattsburgh at the Water & Sewage Department in 1969, retiring there after 28 years of service.
He was a member of OLVA Church, the Moose Lodge, a member of Joe's Hunting and Fishing camp for years and the Keeseville Senior Club.
He leaves behind his wife of over 55 years, the former Dorrine LaBelle; daughters Julie Dominy, Sheila Rock, Karen (Brent) Blaise, Lori (Dan) Elder, Sharron (Robert) Boice, Charlene Manor; and sons, Clayton S. Provost, David (Kathy) Provost, Michael (Judy) Provost.
He will be so ever missed by Missey, his sweet little canine.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Bernice Jessie; a son, Carl; and many brothers and sisters; sons-in-law Floyd Dominy and Floyd Rock. Upon arrival in heaven, the party will begin with all those awaiting his arrival.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh with interment following at St. Peter's Cemetery. A reception will be held at the church following the services.
Services were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. Online condolences may be left at www.heidrickfuneralhome.com.
