Colleen Baker Vallone Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 4, 2023.
Colleen Baker Vallone born in Ware Massachusetts August 4, 1965, celebrated her last girl's night on September 26, 2023, after a valiant fight for her life. She was surrounded by her family and closest friends.

Colleen was predeceased by both her parents, Ronnie Baker, and Shirley (Demers) Socha. She leaves behind Patrick Benard her partner, her son Anthony Vallone, and his father Andy. She also leaves her bonus kids Amanda Battey and Kyle Vallone, her brother Glenn Baker, sister Leighanne Watts and stepfather David Socha. Colleen leaves way too many family members and friends to mention by name. You know who you are. Colleen had a nickname for each of you, some loving some not so much. Let your memories guide you.

Colleen graduated from Pathfinder Regional Technical High School and from Springfield Technical Community College. She worked as a cosmetologist in her youth and held her license to the end. She whiled away her days for 15 years at Mass Mutual working as an analyst before becoming a mother. Her final job was with First Student driving kids to school. You can bet she would have rather been driving around in her 1973 Mustang. But those are things Colleen did not who she was.

Colleen loved to travel to the Caribbean. She often reminisced about her trips, Punta Cana being a much-loved location. Her favorite place on earth however was Cape Cod. She spent time there whenever she could. It was on the National Seashore that she found peace and contentment.

Colleen was 100% a Baker in name and in talent, Colleen made the most delectable macaroons and the best banana bread. Colleen was a giving person just don't try to take the fudge she toiled over that wasn't for you. She collected antiques specifically bean pots and Princess House crystal. She loved to wear jewelry, and no outfit was complete without her favorite gold chains, bracelets, and rings. Her parties were legendary. Colleen was quick witted with a huge sense of humor. Her smile lit up the room and her laughter was contagious. Her absence will be felt deeply by all those who loved her.

In the end there just wasn't enough time for Colleen to bake more, travel more, see the people she loved more. Join us for a celebration of life on October 12, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. located at Tony and Penny's 18 Canterbury St, Ludlow, MA. If you can't join us, please celebrate Colleen in your favorite way, maybe pull out your favorite crystal glass, go on an antique hunt, plan a trip, buy a piece of jewelry in her memory. She would have liked that.

Dear Colleen, Thank you for the greatest gift our son Anthony. I am thankful for the time we had together. I know you always wanted a rock as a headstone, but I think I´m gonna do one better for you. Anthony and I will spread your ashes in the ocean on Cape Cod.
