Concetta M. (Riccio) Miranda, 88 of Tewksbury, passed away on March 31, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joaquin Miranda Jr. who passed away in March of 2007 after 55 years of marriage. She was born on October 29, 1932 in Brighton, MA and was the daughter of the late Albert Riccio and the late Angelina (Torrone) Riccio. She was raised and educated in the Brighton area. For most of her life, she made her home in Tewksbury, where she retired from the Tewksbury School System as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of St. William's Church and for many years taught CCD. She was a lifetime member of the Woman Auxiliary VFW Post 8164, and loved to bowl as a member of the Heath Brook School Bowling League. She loved arts and carts. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Concetta is survived by her beloved children, Concetta 'Connie' Sweet and her husband, Bruce of Windham, NH, Joaquin 'Jack' Miranda and his wife, Laurel (Jay) of Tyngsborough, Joseph Miranda and his wife, Nina (Reynolds) of Wilmington, Carolann Holmberg and her husband, Stephen of Tyngsborough, her daughter-in-law Linda Marie (Gower) Miranda of Tewksbury, Cathleen Miranda of Tewksbury, and John Miranda of Lowell. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her son, the late James E. Miranda. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: the Tewksbury Hospital Recreation Fund, 365 East Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876. WHILE FOLLOWING SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES AND WEARING A MASK, ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND HER VISITATION ON MONDAY, APRIL 5, 2021 FROM 4-7 P.M. AT THE TEWKSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 1 DEWEY ST, TEWKSBURY, 978-851-2061. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED ON TUESDAY, APRIL 6, AT 11:30 A.M. AT ST.
