Connie Mack Watson NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. Connie Mack Watson, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, while a patient at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell. He was born Feb. 20, 1938, at Worth, W.Va. and was a son of Mrs. Mary Liddle Watson of North Tazewell and the late the Rev. W. W. Watson. Connie was a 1957 Graduate of Tazewell High School and a graduate of the Nashville Diesel School in Nashville, Tenn. He had worked for over 30 years as the service manager for the former McCann Ford in Tazewell. He was a member of the Tazewell JC's and Lions Club. Mr. Watson loved Nascar and Duke Basketball. Connie was of the Christian faith and was very much liked by every life he touched and will be greatly missed by his friends and family. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Betty W. Conn and husband, Dwight, of North Tazewell; special caregivers, Elsie Hagy, Bertha Hagy, and Rose McDaniels; special family friend, Gail Vencil; many friends and other family members also survive. Funeral services for Connie Mack Watson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at the Hurst - Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Henry Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, Va. Pallbearers will be Jack Pyott, Richard Lindsey, Jack Long, J.C. McCann, Randy Carter, Warren Williams, Jerry Broyles and Marshall Repass. Honorary pallbearers will be Eli Jones, Tommy Alley, Gary McCann and Don Rice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon of Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Hall Patient Aide Fund, 121 Ben Bolt Ave. Tazewell, VA 24651 or to a favorite childrens charity.
