Cynthia Coronel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 30, 2018.
Cynthia Poblete Coronel, 63, born on November 29, 1954, in Silang, Cavite, Philippines, and passed away in Simi Valley, California on September 30, 2018. Cynthia was born Cynthia Ocampo Poblete, she the daughter of Elpidio and Candida Poblete. Cynthia had 3 brothers, Elpidio Jr., Ronaldo, and Reynante. In 1971 she attended the prestigious University of Santo Tomas where she studied Accountancy in Manila, Philippines. After graduating college, she worked at Beautyfont in the accounting department, where she met Dan. She married Dan Manaloto Coronel on September 8, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her first son, Christopher, was born in the Philippines and the second son, Dennis, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Cynthia eventually settled in Simi Valley, California where she lived with her husband Dan for the next 30 years. Cynthia loved her family and friends, and found nothing more fulfilling than spending time with them. Cynthia was fiercely loyal to her friends and family and would bend over backwards if you were on the good list. She loved collecting everything; plants, Beanie Babies, and especially her Barbies. She always talked about having girls in the house, as she grew up being the only female sibling and being the only woman in the house after being married and having two sons. When she was gifted the opportunity to be a grandmother to two amazing little girls, she relished the opportunity to share a lifetime of clothing and jewelry with them. With every visit came plethora of presents and love. Cynthia is survived by her Husband Dan, her sons, Christopher and Dennis, their wives Diandra and Katlyn, and her grandchildren, Kinley and Kyla. She is loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Cynthia was not introduced to us as just a friend but a family, sharing same last name Ocampo, started us addressing each other Cuz (cousin). All the memories we shared together will always put a sweet smile in days of reminiscing. We will miss you dearly.

We are so, so sad about Cynthia's passing but we celebrate her life. She was, for us, a source of great strength and inspiration, and you are, too, Dan. You both sustained our faith in God and in His mercy to help us remain confident in His Holy Will, and you guided us in our own cancer journey. We commend her to God's loving arms as we continue to pray for her eternal peace and comfort for you and your very loving family.
We will not bother you with phone calls at this time as we imagine you're very busy, but please let us know what else we can do and when we may come to pay our respects. God bless and strengthen you and your family. Edwin & Mary ❤❤❤
