KILGORE - Funeral services for Dan Woolley, 73, of Kilgore, will be 10 a.m., today, November 2, 2010, at Saint Luke's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Darwood Galaway officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mr. Woolley died Sunday, October 31, 2010, in Kilgore. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore.
Mr. Woolley was born October 2, 1937, in Kilgore,Texas, to the late B.J. and Sugar Woolley. Dan was the owner and operator of Woolley Fishing Tool, Inc. He enjoyed hunting, shooting guns and tinkering and building things. Dan loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughters when they came to visit. Mr. Woolley leaves behind many loving family and friends.
Mr. Woolley is survived by his son, J. Dan Woolley of Kilgore; daughter and son-in-law, Johnna and Timothy Young of White Oak; two granddaughters, Kaela Young of White Oak and Macey Woolley of Kilgore; sister, Bebe Woolley of Houston; mother-in-law, Mary Barnhart of Kilgore; sister-in-law, Charlotte Dunaway of Kilgore; two brothers-in-law, Bruce Barnhart of Kilgore and Wes and wife Marcia Barnhart of Kilgore; his dog, George W. Bush; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 30 years, Janie Carol Barnhart Woolley, who passed away in 2003.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to the Saint Luke's United Methodist Church, 401 E. Main, Kilgore, Texas 75662.
