Dana Sherman Schulze

Services and reception for Dana Sherman Schulze, 93, of Wells, currently was residing at Pinecrest Retirement Community, will be announced at a later date. Mrs. Schulze was born August 9, 1921 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Bess (English) and David Sherman. She passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Schulze was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a pharmacist and owner/operator of Schulze's Pharmacy in Wells. She was a graduate of University of Texas - Pharmacy School in Austin. She was a member of many ladies' groups, was very active in the community, and volunteered wherever she was needed. She was a member of DAR. Mrs. Schulze was an active member for her entire adult life at Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church of Wells. Survivors include her sons, David Schulze and wife Louise of Cushing, Randy Schulze and wife Cathy of The Woodlands, Phillip Schulze, M.D. of Gig Harbour, Washington; Reid Schulze of Grapevine, and Mark Schulze, PhD. and wife Pamela of Wake Forest, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 niece. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schulze was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Silas Ludwig Schulze; and her brother, Thomas David Sherman.
