I remember when Dan and I played in the combo tournament at bunker hills. I talked dan into being on the board of the magazine. There was a light steady rain with the wind picking up. Just before our tee off time, I suggested we go to my truck and get a tarp to put over the cart to cover the back, sides and partially the front. We looked like a homeless couple you see on the street. Anyway, while everyone else was getting wet and blown about by the wind, we were dry. Dan an I couldn't stop laughing how ridiculous we must of looked driving around in a tarp. It was hard to concentrate on golf because we couldn't stop laughing how people were looking at us. This is just one of the many memories I had with Dan.
I wish for you a merry Christmas, remembering the good times that you had with Dan, husband dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you BK, Sam, Sarah and the rest of the family.
My deepest sympathy.

I played golf with Dan for many years, golf tournaments and our local 16man team here in woodbury mn. My wife and I went to his house to dress up and watch the Kentucky derby. Dan was also instrumental for getting my daughter her job at 3m. I felt like we were brothers. Kindred spirits. I was just heard about his passing from Bob G. on Saturday golfing. I was so taken back by learning this I felt numb and shocked. I still can´t fathom and process this. My deepest sympathy to BK Sammy Sarah and family. He will be deeply missed. I´m totally devastated of hearing of Dan passing. He was my brother, golf buddy, skiing buddy, and most of all a brother in CHRIST. We chaperoned together at church functions and went to football games. Dan was a happy go lucky person! One of the nicest and caring person I have ever met. I know you´re with JESUS, and some day we will be together again. Our prayers go out to Bk, Sam & Sarah and family.

Dan was our Sales Rep at School Specialty in Wisconsin for many years, he could always be counted on to help with his products and knowledge. He was a GREAT guy to just hang around with and talk Kentucky Basketball.

The one thing I will always remember about Dan is that smile! You can only have that kind of smile when you are truly at peace with God. You could tell he loved serving the Lord especially in outreach. Even people from the youth soccer league remember him as the man who passed out the bibles. He always left a smiling loving impression. That smile let his light shine. Yet another reason for "Shiny Dan". Continued prayers for BK and family.

Robert and Dan enjoyed many special days while Taking the Gospel to Every Home ,in their assigned area.
Dan got Robert and I started on The Gideon Bible App. We will finish to the end .
Robert also enjoyed working with Dan as a trustee and on Ponderosa´s new building .

Dan and I teamed up at Ponderosa for "Gospel to every home." That experience together in Christ began a deep friendship serving together as Gideons. Bible distributions, speaking at many churches and serving with Brothers and Sister across the great state of Kentucky. At Ponderosa with our youth ministry Dan defeated me in a push up competition!!! We went turkey hunting this spring and got invested with tucks! We even took youth to the ARK Experience. BK and Dan served in so many ways together to bring the joy of Christ to others. He will be dearly missed by Carol and I.

Each time he took my kids and me out in the boat I was so glad they were getting to know Dan in their childhoods too. He told me once he was so glad to still get to see me too, and it made him feel close to Ron even though he´d passed away.

As a little girl, My Uncle Ron and Dan would take me for rides to get ice cream in the little MG convertible. They were the best of friends and made me feel like a princess.
