My Dearest Sunshine,
As you already know, I have never been able to express my feelings in written word well enough to capture even a sliver of their true value. However, I dearly hope, Sunshine, that you knew in your heart just how much I loved you and how my world became such a bright place since that first night. We had many adventures this past year and a half, so many smiles and laughs we had. From visiting as many apple orchards as we could fit in to sharing the holidays with both families. We seemed to be on the go often, but always found time for the animals (Maddie, Lex, Spud, and Tator) and movie time on the couch! I would have to say the best times we had were those times out with” the boys.” You loved those horses and it could be seen in your eyes. I had never felt so proud. You were so willing to learn and I wanted to share it all. Spud will always be your boy. Watch over us as we make our progress this next year and cheer us on in the show ring as we do our thing. Our rides will be for you. Yes, I will wear my helmet! ? Maddie keeps your gift close by and can be found sleeping on it day and night. When the time came for hospital stays, we still managed to keep good times rolling. Decorating your room to shine, dancing and laughing the time away, strolling the halls hand in hand or teasingly debating over our next feature film. I am missing all our times…I keep the song lyrics of “ down the road the sun is shining, every cloud has a silver lining, just keep holding on..” I will hold on to all memories created and keep the promise we made. We may not have had a lifetime but we will have all eternity. Be ready for me Bauer. As we always said, “Now and Forever.”
Thank you for being the co-author of dreams, the amazing Fiancé and above all else my treasured friend.

May you rest in peach, David. What an "angel" you were too me when I live in Minnesota. You were ALWAYS there to assist me when I needed help with my car along with all the packing/moving back to Ohio. Your compassionate for life and your family will always hold dear too me! Our many thanks for the generous and considerate spirit of the long-time friend of our family, David Bauer. We recently returned from Europe where we lit candles in churches in Italy, Greece, and Croatia for David.
