David Bona Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 21, 2025.
David Lawrence Bona, age 71, of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed into Eternity August 3, 2025

David fought cancer, but it couldn't dim the light of his spirit. We take comfort that Jesus has welcomed him into His arms. His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. He exemplified love, compassion, and kindness; touching the hearts of everyone he encountered. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend and coworker. David was employed with US Bank 53 years, which blessed him with many life-long friends and fond memories.

He was preceded in death by sister Darlene (Tom) Schmidt.

He is survived by wife, Debbie Bona and daughters Dawn (Chris) Heine and Denise Bona.

Grandchildren, Aaliyah Heine and Roman Heine.

Parents, Ray and Elaine Bona.

Siblings, Debbie (Jim) Janisin, Diane (John) Brandenburg and Dan (Roxanne) Bona.

Niece, Katie Schmidt.

I will miss the times and conversations we had together. We always talked about sports and family. I´ll miss him coming along with me to trading card shows and autograph events as well. I´ll never forget you, Dave and I´ll always cherish the memories we shared.
