David Porter Obituary
Dave graduated from Waukegan High School in 1970, where he excelled on the track field. He was employed by Commonwealth Edison/Midwest Generation for 43 years. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, watching the Chicago Bears, golfing with his son, Jason and watching scary movies with his granddaughter Elliana.
Dave's signature trait was always putting others before himself. His selflessness and compassion were nothing short of amazing.
Dave is survived by his wife and best friend of 43 years, Pamela Porter and children Kerri and Jason (Riva) and Wesley; grandchildren, Paris, Jayla, Amourae, Sahara, Caden and Elliana. Dave is also survived by brothers Charles Porter Jr, Louis Porter, Walter (Uyon-He) Porter, and a sister Luan (Robert) Evans and many other relatives. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by both his parents Charles and Emma Porter and brother Joseph Porter. He is also preceded by his mother-in-law Amber Lohuis, his brother-in-law Donald Kimmel and his sister-in-law Randi Kimmel.
Services are to be held privately with family.

Even though you´re not here physically , I do feel your presence.
Since I got up today ,all I can do is think of all the wonderful times we had together.

I will never forget my grandfather. Words cannot express the pain it feels to lose such an amazing person in my life. From watching action movies, to camping every year, to even taking me to Vegas on my 21st, my memories with him were always filled with happiness and laughter. He took care of his family like no other and I will always be grateful for the time I got to spend with him. It´s never goodbye, just see you later. I love you grandpa.

My first memory before I even met him was when Pam told me ch of when they first started dating the menu he had cooked for her and how nervous he was! Lots of carbs I think macaroni, mashed potatoes and some other carbs. The way he.treated her when they first met all those years ago j remember thinking she sure net a good guy!!! He truly was one of the kindest and nicest men. I can still see his little smirk when I´d see him!!!!! He and Pam were a great team. I love you!
