David Paul Sheffield

A celebration of the life of David Paul Sheffield, 49, of Fort Gibson will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Fort Gibson High School Auditorium with Pastor Bob Dewoody officiating. Interment will follow in Citizens Cemetery with Clint Wilcox, Brian Sheffield, Jonathan Moore, Dustin Wright, Keiven Wright, and Jimmy Westover serving as pallbearers.David was called to Heaven Tuesday, December 15, 2009. He was born February 21, 1960 in Muskogee, OK to Richard and Clara (Henderson) Sheffield. He graduated from Fort Gibson High School with the class of 1978. He owned a trucking company as well as a farm and dairy. David was an avid supporter of 4H and FFA. He enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and 4 wheeling. He was a faithful member of the Fellowship Bible Church in Fort Gibson.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Sheffield of the home; his parents, Dick and Clara Sheffield of Fort Gibson; his children: Jessica Sheffield Wilcox and husband, Clint of Fairview, OK, and Brian Sheffield of Fort Gibson; sisters and brothers-in-laws: Beth Wright of Oktaha and her husband, Keith; Karen Bouse and her husband, Brad of Broken Arrow, and Susan Jan Westover and her husband, David of Vernon, Texas; nieces and nephews: Jonathan Moore, Dustin Wright, Keiven Wright, Lindsey Bouse, Jimmy Westover, and Cassie Westover; in-laws: Cheryl Moore and her husband, Terry, Teresa Jackson and her husband, Shawn, and their children, Debra Criner and her husband Adam, Terri Bolding and her husband Stephen, Braden Criner, Eric Bolding, Kathy Jackson, Erica Jackson, and Heather Jackson, and numerous other relatives and many friends.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the David Sheffield Memorial Fund, Fellowship Bible Church, 601 Maher Rd., Fort Gibson OK 74434.The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Fort Gibson with the arrangements.
