Age 66, of Bethel Park and Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 21, 2018 after a long illness. He was an exceptionally loving husband to "his rock," Melissa Colin Tucci, for whom his love only grew with time; (over)protective father to Tara Tucci-Exilus (Jesse) and Olivia Tucci Grenter (Patrick); dear Bubba to grandchildren, Avery and Leo Grenter; adored son of Concetta (Cardello) Tucci; brother of Tony, Donald, and Leonard Tucci (Dorine); nephew to Tom Cano (Mary); and preceded in death by many beloved uncles and aunts from whom he got his sense of humor; cousin to many; and dear friend to countless others. He graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1970 and went on to earn a Bachelor's in Psychology from Duquesne University, where he became the first of his family to earn a college degree. He dedicated his life to serving those most in need by working at the East Liberty Free Clinic, the March of Dimes, and the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force. One of his defining characteristics was his embrace of individuals of all stripes. He would quickly say, though, that his proudest accomplishment was the family he built with his wife, and he left no doubt of his love for his family. Dave was a stubborn Italian who loved nothing more than good company and good food. King of conversation with strangers and making small talk, he made friends wherever he went and saw it as a personal goal to make others smile. He was an emphatic critic of jagoffs who do not use turn signals or give a thank you after merging. A larger than life character, he forever made this world better with his never ending, selfless love and sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at BEINHAUERS, 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, 724-941-3211 on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at the funeral home. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Allies in Health-Wellness (alliespgh.org), the former Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force where Dave was a loved and valued staff member for many years. Dear Missy, Amy just told me about David passing. I was so sad. You made his life complete and I'm so happy he had you and his wonderful daughters. He will be missed by so many as well he should be. I am glad I knew him. Alice and Amy Dixon from the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood.

Mr. Tucci! Such a sweet, loving, kind hearted individual who was always happy and smiling. I'm sad to see that he passed away and I just found out today. I'm at a lost for words but may he Rest In Peace and may God give his family the strength to stay strong and know that he is in heaven and will always be watching over them. He will truly be missed

A great guy I wish I knew better. My brother Rick Miller was one of his best friends and now in heaven they are together enjoying Hard Rock music and each other. God Bless David and Rick.

I was honored to have the pleasure of working with Dave at the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force. He was admired by everyone that had the pleasure of working with Dave. The Tucci family lost a rare gem when Dave went to be with the Lord. My deepest sympathy to you all.
