Dean L. Earp 81 of Elkhart, Ind. passed away on June 14 at 6:30 pm at Elkhart Rehab Center. He was born to Leroy E. Earp and Lillian May (Moore) Earp on May 18, 1929 in Peoria, Ill. On March 1, 1949 Dean married Elizabeth McBride in Peoria, Ill. Their surviving children are daughters Kathleen Burk of Stockholm, WI., Betsy (Tom) Rogusta of Bristol, Ind., Bridget (Tim) Riegsecker of Bristol; Sons Ralph Earp, Dean (Ann) Earp both of Rockford, Ill., Brian (Jo) Earp of Post Falls, Idaho, Michael (Julie) Earp of Rockford, Ill., Joseph (Jodi) Earp of Elkhart; Sisters Wanda Cowan, Gloria Olds both of Peoria, Ill; Brother Lee Earp of Peoria, Ill; Grandchildren Suzanne Burk, Daniel Burk, Ian Burk, Kathryn Schmidt, Bethany Orbisin, Morgan Earp, Lisa Campbell, Jeniffer Rairdon, Christine Simnick, Jonathan Samuel, Elizabeth Earp, Maggie Earp, Melissa Gardner, Megan Mishler, Jessica Gardner, Brienne Streibeck, Courtney Populis, Nicholas Earp, Wyatt Earp, Kelsey Earp, Morgan Earp, Josephine Earp, Warren Earp, Emily Pariseau, Stephanie Earp, Rebecca Earp, Daniel Gallegher, Marshall Earp, Allie Earp, Joseph Earp, Shawn Earp. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne Earp, and a sisters Shirley Earp and Joyce Earp. Dean was employed by Gunite as their Sr. Mfg. Engineer. His accomplishments are as follows a 1947 graduate of Manual Training High school, U.S. Marine, past president of the figure skating club in Rockford, member of F.B.I at River Oaks Community Church, a avid baseball fan and still holds a state record in Illinois, and was the oldest living relative of Wyatt Earp. Vitiation will be on Saturday from 1 to 3 pm with funeral services starting at 3 pm at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Father Kevin Bauman officiating the service.
