Debra Taylor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 14, 2025.
Debra (Debbie) Anne Taylor , 65, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 28th, 2025. She fought courageously against cancer but was ultimately called home to the Lord.

Debbie was born in Corpus Christi, TX on March 25, 1959, to Melvin and Laura Faye Taylor. She was a loving wife of 28 years to John, cherished mom of Sasha Craft-Gonzalez, dear sister to Gary (Joanne) Taylor and Dennis (Sandra) Montgomery. She was a devoted and affectionate grandmother to Jessica (20), Joshua (18) and Kevin (12), and a caring aunt to Gary, Laura, Jesse and Mathew.

She liked to spend her free time at home with family and her beloved birds, dogs and turtle, gardening, going for walks with the dogs, watching a great movie or show (she loved to laugh!) and reading.

Debbie is dearly missed by her family, friends and co-workers but her spirit and memory will live on through us.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 1-3 pm at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 S Rohlwing Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL. (white chapel entrance)

In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's name can be made to Birds and Beaks Rescue and Rehab in Battle Creek, MI.

Sweet Sasha, I´m so sorry you´re experiencing this loss. Your mom was such a kind soul and always welcomed me at your home as a child. I remember how hard she worked to provide for you but even when she wasn´t home, your house always felt full of her love. I´m sending you all my love and hope to get the chance to give you a huge hug at her service. Please let me know if I can help you with anything.
