BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, DeLores Miller Helms, was reunited with her loving husband on Feb. 11, 2018.
DeLores was born in Logan, Utah, on May 4, 1929, to Hattie Jorgensen and William Soren Miller. She was the eldest of three sisters. She was raised in Hyrum.
DeLores met her husband, Laurence Helms, at the Elite Hall at a dance. They were married Sept. 22, 1952. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
They were the proud parents of six children: JoAnn (Ben) Sorensen, Pauline (Jack) Olsen, Lee (Lupe) Helms, Marie (Ed) Christensen, Laura (Jim) Parkin and Bill (Shelly) Helms.
DeLores loved to spend her time embroidering, crocheting, quilting, sewing and painting. She enjoyed travel and took worldwide trips. Above all she loved spending time with her family.
The family wishes to thank the care staff at Lotus Park Assisted Living and A Step Forward Hospice.
DeLores is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters.
Surviving are her children, 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E. 200 South, Brigham City. Funeral services will follow at noon at Gillies Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
