Deloris Sneller Gosling, age 81, a resident of Wheaton, IL, for 52 years, went to be with the Lord, peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. She was born November 14, 1937 in Sheldon, Iowa to Andrew and Evelyn Sneller.
Dee grew up in Sheldon and graduated from Sheldon High School. She graduated from Covenant College and earned a Master's Degree in Education from National College of Education. She met Chuck Gosling in St. Louis while she was a student at Covenant College and he was in seminary. They were married on January 24, 1959 in Matlock, Iowa. They taught in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and they ministered at a church in Hampton, Virginia until moving to Wheaton. She raised three children and then worked as a secretary and systems analyst at Wheaton College and as a teacher's aide in District 200.
She enjoyed being a children's choir director at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, where she was a contributing member. She and her sister, Audrey, volunteered for many years at "Twice is Nice" resale shop. She loved family vacations, especially HoneyRock Family Camp. She was proud of her Dutch heritage. She and Chuck are members of Immanuel Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women's Bible Study, who supported her through her illness. For the past eleven years, Chuck has faithfully cared for her. She loved being with family and friends, but most of all her grandchildren were her favorite people.
Her faith was central to her life. Her favorite hymn was "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and God was faithful to her even through years of illness.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Gosling of Wheaton, three children, Drew (Kathleen) Gosling of Wheaton, Evie (Joel) Kapitaniuk of Wheaton and Ruthie (Doug) Allen of Elizabethtown, PA, ten grandchildren, Meredith, Liz, Robbie, Ellie, Elizabeth, Jacob, James, Peter, Teddy, and Oliver, and her sister, Audrey Reinsma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 29 W 260 Batavia Road, Warrenville, IL 60555. Private interment will be held at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Outreach Community Ministries.

Dear Gosling/Reinsma families,
Dee was such a gem! As I used to say about my great-aunt Helen Nystrom, "They just don't make them like her anymore!" Dee was such a joy; a face that lit up the room! I consider myself honored to have known her and served with her at TIN.
Oh, the joy she must be experiencing in her dear Lord's presence!!!

I will always remember all of the sparkle and joy Dee exuded when she was well. She was a guiding star to me in many facets of my life.

It has been a long battle with the cancer and now she is at peace with no pain. From 1956 at Covenant when I (Bill) first met her, through the moves (visited in Newport News too), to Lynn and I staying with them at their rental in Downers Grove in 1965, to our move to Wheaton 6 blocks away in 1975...we have enjoyed our two families interactions year by year. And now, she can rejoice in the arms of our Saviour, with no pain! God's richest blessings of comfort to Chuck, all of the kids and grandkids. We hope to be in Wheaton in October and will try to see many of you.
Lynn and Bill Gosling

Aunt Dee was such a huge part of my growing up that I can hardly think of childhood memories without her. We'll miss her terribly, we are grateful for her steadfast faith, and we are praying for Uncle Chuck and all the family.
