Dennis Breheny Obituary
Beloved husband for 42 years of Lynne Breheny (née Goin). Cherished father of Dennis J. Breheny, Jr. (Madelyn). Adored grandfather of Riley Breheny. Dear brother of Michael Breheny, Jr. (Robin), Patrick Breheny, Timothy Breheny (Janice), and Kevin Breheny (Susan).
Dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Michael J. Breheny and Rosemary J. Breheny (née Graffigna), and his youngest brother, Barry J. Breheny.
Upon graduating from the University of Missouri (Mizzou) in 1975, Dennis began a long and successful career in the automotive industry. He held various roles at several retail dealerships over more than 40 years. He spent the majority of his career at Plaza Motors in Creve Coeur, MO, serving in both the General Sales Manager and General Manager positions.
Following partial retirement, Dennis and Lynne moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to be near their son and granddaughter.
Dennis enjoyed playing and watching golf and soccer, and attending his son's sporting events throughout the years. He loved spending time with his family, traveling, listening to 70s and 80s music, driving convertibles, celebrating holidays, walking his beloved dog Lola, and socializing with friends. He was known for his charming and engaging personality.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 12, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 7530 Natural Bridge Road, Normandy, MO.
Masses preferred, or if desired donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This has taken me a few days to write, as there are few words to show how much my heart is filled with love and memories of Denny (and Lynne). Denny was truly one of the most charming, fun, kind and authentic friends that I have had in my life. Denny was always fully there for his friends. Many many times, I was their "third wheel" and will forever cherish those memories. Years of adventures, life, laughter, tears and love will forever inspire me as to what true friends really are. I am eternally grateful that God brought Denny (and family) into my life.

Denny was a great cousin. In his working years my husband Bob and I spent much time with him at Plaza Motors. We loved his expertise and guidance and my husband loved his Mercedes cars and I still love my cute BMW convertible. Apart from work we saw him and family frequently as his mother and my mother were very close sisters. He will be very missed. May his soul rest in peace.

My years with the Breheny family was full of love and laughter. Dennis was a huge part of that. He had wit, charm, and a fun personality. Over the last few years, we exchanged stories about our children and grandchildren. He was so proud of his son and granddaughter, as well as being a devoted dog dad. He is gone too soon. Rest in peace, my dear friend. A remembrance mass will be offered in your name at Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando. I'll raise a pint in your honor at my local Irish pub. You will be missed.

I worked with Denis in my early years in the car business, what a great guy, very fun to be around, very positive, just a great human. Even though I was working mainly for a different brand, my first car that I sold was a Lexus, and he held my hand and walked me through the process, so I never felt like I did not know what I was doing. I will always remember him because of that. To the family, please accept my sincere condolences, I hope that time can bring some comfort. Rest In Peace, Denis!
