TRIMONT: *A Graveside Gathering for Dennis Krueger is planned for Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Waverly Lutheran Cemetery, #1333 220th St., Trimont, Minnesota. A short committal service will be held with time for sharing stories following. Due to the Delta Variant this gathering will be held outside so please bring your own lawn chairs and sun protection. Bottled water and chocolate chip cookies will be provided. Other beverages are your own responsibility. Masks are strongly suggested. Questions - call (507) 639-3191 and leave a message, please.

Dennis was called to his eternal rest on Saturday afternoon, November 28, 2020 at his home in Trimont, Minnesota. Messages of Sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com

Dennis Dean Krueger was born on May 19, 1942 to Carl and Ardis (Hughes) Krueger at the old Fairmont Community Hospital in Fairmont, Minnesota. He attended rural District #88 and later attended Trimont School, graduating with the class of 1960. On August 16, 1962 he entered the United States Army serving until his honorable discharge on August 14, 1964. Dennis was employed in Minneapolis until moving back to the family farm to farm. On June 16, 1979 he was united in marriage to Susan Johnson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont, Minnesota. He farmed until retiring in 1998. In 2017, they moved into Trimont. Dennis greatly enjoyed Sunday morning “Bible Study” at Casey’s in Truman with Bob, Kevin, Jim, Brad, Harold B., R. Wenth, and Karen. He also enjoyed church mowing with the crew. Dennis was a member of Waverly Lutheran Church and he enjoyed working with wood, hunting and doing leatherwork. He was a 51 year member of the Foster-Bernhardt American Legion Post #373 where he served on the honor guard.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Krueger of Trimont, Minnesota; two daughters, Ginger (Peter) Barnett of Lakeville, Minnesota and Kelsey Krueger of West Allis, Wisconsin; granddaughter, Charlotte Barnett; sister-in-law, Louise (Mark) Anderson of Kasson, Minnesota; brothers-in-law, Ron Johnson of Bristol, Connecticut, Tedd (Jackie) Johnson of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; and other relatives and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ardis; step-father, Melvin Hayek; and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers or anything else, just have a drink in his memory.

I would like to express my condolences on behalf of my mother, Marilyn, and the rest of our family regarding the passing of Dennis. My mother always valued her relationships with her family and has many fond memories of all of their times together. Dennis was always a very friendly and generous individual, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our prayers and sympathies will be with you all as you mourn his passing.
