Devastated to hear this incredible human is no longer with us! I had the privilege of working with him many years ago as his printer, and his inventive language and hilarious nicknames are still etched in my mind-able to send me into fits of laughter decades later. The world has lost a boundlessly creative, generous, and kind soul. I hope he´s wrastling with Lizzie and LuLu on the other side.

Denny did not just show up and take pictures. He brought fresh bread, wine with glasses, flowers and of course as always his larger than life self. A presence to be savored as he rummaged through your closet looking for just the right piece. Good job Dennis! You will be missed by all who knew you.
It was a pleasure knowing you, until we meet again.

Dennis was a friend and incredible photographer. The times I spent with him were memorable and special. I will always cherish the pictures he took of our children. The world has lost an amazing talent and human.

The poetry, the photographs, the way he lived every day was unlike anyone else in Nashville or in my world. He sparked creativity in anyone who was open to magic. Thank you Dennis for sharing your thoughts, kindness and friendship. As your pet name for me "Patti Lou" see you in another time and place. Patricia Lipman

Dennis was my friend for more than forty years. How to capture his big heart, his enormous laugh, his amazing eye. His charming, quixotic soul.
We shared glorious travels, meals, wine, conversations, interludes - never to be repeated. I will miss him every day . Fare thee well Denny.
