Just sitting here thinking about the memories we had that were so strong and profound. It is very lonely sometimes because I didn'thave time to make strong connections to most of your family and friends, and besides Pops, everyone probably have forgotten me. My prayers always go out to them. You were special, and touched so many people with your infectious smile and funny sense of humor. You had such a big heart and cared so deeply for others that it would make you sad. This picture is one of my fondest memories...that day was perfect and is burned into my heart and soul forever. I love you Desiree, and miss you always. Vic.

Baby girl, you are always on my mind. I didn't forget to come on here, I just didn't know what to say...I can't believe it has been 15 years and the hurt still has not subsided. You will always have a piece of my heart. My hope, always, is that you are enjoying heaven and laughing with us when we are cracking jokes, or do something weird or stupid....I can still hear your laughter in my head. O heavenly Father, I am now and forever am in the shadow of great loneliness. My soulmate Desiree was taken from me on June 6, 2009. Yet I submit in holy faith to Your divine will. I know that You love Desiree who, I pray, is now in heaven rejoicing with You. Grant me the strength I need to bear my present burdens, and help me to look for opportunities to seek out those less fortunate then myself. Keep me from feeling sorry for myself in my present condition, and keep my heart enflamed with love for You and for my neighbor, so that I can help to carry on Your work of love in this world. May I one day be reunited with my beloved Desiree in heaven, where we both can worship You for all eternity. VH

The weirdest thing just happened, I just heard the song "Spend My Life With You" by Eric Benet (featuring Tamia) on the radio - and I remember Desiree telling me that she loved that song. So I started thinking about her and decided to look her up online just to see what social media pictures or anything I could find and I came across her obituary. I knew she had passed but I was just curious what people had written about her at this point. So as i was scrolling through, I saw a few pictures, one of them had her birth date and the date she passed - then I realized that it was 8 years ago today exactly.what a coincidence - RIP Desi. Im sure she is missed by so many.

Hey Naaaachoooooo, can't believe it's been a year already mama's. I can't believe I lost the video I took with my camera phone at my house with you doing the the sprinkler, a whole bunch of 80's moves and your immitation of James Brown, lol, that night was non stop laughter as was the case every single time you and I got together. I KNEW that whenever I answer the door and it was you knocking at the door I was either going to hear "DAMN you SHORT!!" or " HEEEEEYYYY YOUUUUUUU GUYYYYYYSSS!!!!" LOL. You were a great dancer and an even better dancer when we paired up and busted out our Kid N Play flashback or banda moves, lol. Man I miss you girl, love you always, Franky.

I will always remember Desi as one of my "BEST IWE" helpers I had @ PHS, the most helpful and cheerful, always willing whatever the task, she was the Best and I will remember her fondly always, though I lost touch with her and you whenever I did see you around it was the same friendly face and greeting so nice to see you and always smiling and laughing together, old (Parkside) friends forever; the loss of your daughter is so unexpected and I can only hope that you know my prayers and thoughts have been with you all the time. Wishing you the Grace of God and that your faith sustains you through everything and knowing she is in your heart, that your Angel in Heaven is looking down on you and her memory is shared by us all.

I never got the chance to thank you for introducing me to Angel and Yazy and allowing me to be a father Dezi, so thank you baby girl from the bottom of my heart. You're my lil Naaaacchhhhoooooo!! I called Dez Nacho cause she loved to eat and this one time I noticed she kept coming in and out of the kitchen at my house and everytime she came out she'd have a new Nacho stain on her black shirt, lol. That was around the time that Nacho Libre movie came out so whenever I saw her after that I'd greet her with Naachhoooooo..... Whenever we got together it was over, we'd be laughin non stop and anoying the people around us. The first time Dez saw me, the first thing she said was not "hello" or "how you doing", it was "DAMN You short!!", lol. I love you Nacho and I'll make it a point that my youngest daughter Jordyn grows up knowing her tia Dezi.

I wrote on here a million times, but I never hit submit because I still haven't accepted that you're gone. You were talented and beautiful young lady! Even though we drifted over the years, anytime we would see each other it would seem like time never passed. You were always able to make me laugh so much that I would spit out whatever I was drinking.

What I would do to hug you and tell you how much I love you. But something tells me you already know. WE have been sisters our whole life and I have learned so much from you. Life is so short and I know realize how that saying is soo TRUE! I promise to love, laugh and praise the Lord at all times even during the storms. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
