Funeral services for Dexter Bernard Cooper, 28, of Marshall will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Lewis Funeral Chapel with Bishop Lionel Childress officiating. Burial will follow in Nichols Cemetery. Mr. Cooper died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. He was born May 30, 1977, in Marshall; HE worked as a cook and was a member of God's Holy Trinity Church. Survivors include his mother, Reggie Carlisle of Marshall; father, Charles E. Cooper of Marshall; daughters, Destiny Cooper of Mississippi and Deserae Cooper of Marshall; son, Delmond "Dezom" Cooper of Marshall; sisters, Maukessa L. Carlisle of Marshall, Lavoya Cooper of Dallas and Bria Cooper and Briana Cooper, both of Kilgore; brothers, Roderick C. Cooper and Kenrick D. Cooper, both of Marshall and Charles Cooper Jr. of Longview; grandfather, Charles Jernigan Sr. of Dallas; grandmother, Margaret Cooper of Marshall; his great-grandmothers, Rosetta Jernigan of Marshall and Mary Eddington of San Francisco, Calif.; other relatives and friends.
