Dominic Damian Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 22, 2025.
With profound sorrow and enduring love, we note the passing of Dominic Christopher Damian, who departed this life on May 22, 2025, at the age of 41.

Dominic was born on February 15, 1984, in San Diego, California. From the moment he arrived, he brought laughter and light to those around him. Dominic lived a life shaped by quiet strength, deep loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the people and passions he loved. From an early age, he immersed himself in athletics, growing up playing both baseball and hockey - sports that remained lifelong passions.

A devoted San Diego Padres fan and an enthusiastic follower of professional hockey, Dominic found joy in the game and the camaraderie of fellow fans. His love for sports extended beyond the stands: he was a championship black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, a testament to his discipline, perseverance, and quiet humility.

Dominic touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether through his personal relationships, his professional work, or simple everyday interactions, Dominic left an indelible mark. He was the type of person who showed up when it mattered, listened when it counted, and lived with an authenticity that inspired those around him.

He is survived by his mother, Karyn Melligan; stepfather, Scott; his father, David Damian; his sisters, Kristin Calhoun, Katrina Casey (Mark), and Kerri Pearson (Ryley); his wife, Amanda; and a large extended family of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Though his time with us was far too brief, Dominic leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, kindness, and a fierce love for life. Dominic's life was a gift to all who knew him, and he will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
