Donald Gene "Donnie Wick" Wilkerson

Donald Gene "Donnie Wick" Wilkerson, 70, of Williamson, WV, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his home.

He was born December 29, 1948, at Williamson, WV, the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Webster Wilkerson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Wilkerson and Thomas Wilkerson and two sisters, Barbara Wells and Brenda Hunter.

Donald was a God-fearing family man. He was a coal miner, school bus driver, worked for the City of Williamson garage and Department of Highways. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a true believer in keeping his vehicles clean as well as the outside of his house. He loved his Cadillacs and was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. He loved his dogs and was German Shepherd breeder. Donald was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle UHC.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon "Vone" Wilkerson of Williamson, WV; his children, Sharron Wells of Birmingham, AL, Donna (Pastor Mark) Sawyer of Columbus, Ohio, Sharai Hunter of Columbus, Ohio, Kevin (Jackie) Williams of Naugatuck, WV and Sherri Wilkerson of Huntington, WV; siblings, Lawrence (Missy) Wilkerson, Theresa Blackwell-Tucker, Richard Wilkerson and Arthur Lovett all of Williamson, WV, Vanessa Wilkerson and Renee (Ivan) Mitchell of Columbus, Ohio and Gloria (Gerry) Thaxton of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, James "Romie" Wells, Damien Wells, Tracy Jones, Dionte Hunter, Makiah Halsell, Daunte Valdelamar, Javiaire Williams, Mariasha Sawyer, Dalayia Valdelamar, Laken Williams, Donavon Valdelamer, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 1 PM at Pentecostal Tabernacle UHC with Pastor Ricky Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, WV with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Martin, Odelle Parks, Paul Joyce, Arthur Taylor, Terry Jackson, Fred Dillard, James Bradley, Darrin McCormick and Bernett Dotson. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Church prior to services. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is serving the Wilkerson family.
