I was saddened to hear of Donna's passing. Donna was the Director of Nursing at Green Hospital Scripps Clinic when I worked there in the late 70's and 80's. She was an inspiration to me as a new nurse. She was always kind, fair, and professional. Her smile always made me feel welcome. She made an impact on many lives. My sympathies to her family and friends.

Dear Fosbinder Family, I was a student and friend of Donna's. She was simply one of the best individuals I have ever met. I loved her humor and compassion. Dale Cable, RN, MSN.

Mr. Fosbinder,
I send my deepest sympathies to you and your family regarding Donna. I was a student of Donna's at BYU and a friend of the family. My family is from Kanab, thus we had ties (Fred Heaton)to Donna and her mother Edna as well. Donna was an inspiration to me both professionally and personally. I consider her my friend.

To
Bob & Family, It is with deepest regret to hear of Donna's passing.
She was my mentor @ Scripps Green Hospital where I began working in
1977 & a dear friend.I was a newly hired RN for the surgical floor there and after
only a couple of years of service Donna hired me to be a manager of the
surgical floor with no management experience! She encouraged and taught
and always served as a role model to the staff and managers at the
hospital. She promoted achieving higher education and served as a role
model as she pursued her BSN, MSN, and finally her PHD, while she was
raising her children and managing nursing at Scripps Green Hospital.
She is the most professional, loving, giving, kindest
& smartest "Boss" & colleague I have ever had the privilege
to work with and spend time with. Our prayers are with you all.

I am deeply grateful for Donna's personal and professional gifts. She was one of the most giving, energetic, positive and committed persons I have met. Her love for the Church, her family, and her profession pervaded her actions. I will always remember the long walks, eating dried apples (homemade) and talking while I served as a visiting professor at Brigham Young University.

Dear Fosbinder Family,
I want you to know what a wonderful person your mother was. She was my teacher, mentor, friend and my lifesaver in the Master's program at BYU. She was so encouraging and kind wanting others around her to share in the gospel and to grow to their potential. I loved her smile and her encouragment. She was truly an amazing woman. Thank you for sharing her with us as she taught us at BYU.
