It is with bittersweet sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Marie Ladasky, who was born on April 12, 1946, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Alfred and Helen Franci. Donna passed away peacefully on the morning of January 24, 2025, in San Jose, California, at the age of 78.

Donna's life was a testament to love, adventure, and dedication. An avid traveler, she embraced the world with open arms, finding special joy in Paris and Tuscany. Her home was a place of warmth and joy, where she excelled as a consummate hostess, creating memorable gatherings for family and friends.

Her kindness extended far beyond her immediate family; Donna's heart and home were always open to those in need of support or encouragement. She became affectionately known as a "Bonus Mom" to many who were touched by her compassion and generosity.

Donna was also a talented seamstress who shared her gifts with her community. She devoted countless hours to creating costumes for Lincoln High School in San Jose and West Valley Light Opera in Saratoga. After moving to El Dorado Hills, she continued to donate her talents to community theater and local high schools.

Her love for hosting parties was unmatched, with every detail meticulously planned to create unforgettable experiences. During Christmastime, her favorite season, Donna transformed her home into a dazzling display of lights and warmth. She lovingly prepared the Polish Wigilia - the traditional Christmas Eve dinner - crafting each dish with care and a deep sense of heritage.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, John; her son John Jr.; her grandson Spencer; her son Michael; and her daughter-in-law Tess.

Donna's joie de vivre will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May the memory of her love and care bring comfort to those whose lives she touched so profoundly.
