Doris Kent Fairful

Doris Kent Fairful (Englefield) (nee Holton) Jan. 19, 1925 - February 9, 2015 Doris died peacefully at Laurel Place Hospice, in Surrey, after living with leukemia for 5 years. She defied all predictions and celebrated Christmas and her 90th birthday, before she said her final farewell. Doris was born in Salvador Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver as a young woman. She had a full working life, starting as a teacher, transistioning to consummate home maker, and transitioning again to a book keeper and office manager. Doris, and second husband Bob spent their retirement years happily exploring the southwestern United States and western Canada in their camper van, Bob driving and Doris navigating and knitting. Doris was predeceased by her first husband Phil in 1971, and second husband Bob in 2014, as well as her brother and five older sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Sue Englefield (Brian) and Nancy Benmore (Robert), step children Cathe Mosbeck (Wayne), Robyn Russell and Cameron Fairful, beloved grandchildren Philip Benmore (Cara), Sydney Benmore, Ryan Grange and Nikki Mosbeck, many nieces and nephews and her dear friends from T.O.P.S.
