Doris Goodson Obituary
Mrs. Goodson was born May 9, 1932 in Lafayette, Georgia; daughter of the late Oscar Lee McRae and Mattie Alma McRae. She was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Columbus, GA where she was the pianist for more than 40 years. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Goodson.
Survivors include her son, Gaylen Wrape (Kathy), daughters, Sheila Gresham (Jack), Bonita Watson (Joe); three sisters, Mattie Howard, Louise Chandler, Sue Sosebee, ten grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, our rock, prayer warrior and friend.

Dot has gone to be with her Jesus now, and I will miss her. Mostly, I'll miss those great and entertaining Scrabble games that we used to have together. Dot was always my favorite Scrabble opponent. She never ceased to amaze me at how she could always come up some great words (that scored lots of points) even when she didn't really know what those words meant. I'll never forget Dot and I'll always thank her for bringing my beautiful wife into this world and making it possible for me to meet and marry her 48 years ago.
