I had the pleasure and privilege of working and worshipping with Dottie for a number of years. She and I shared a love of books and reading, and she was unfailingly kind and generous. Her inner beauty shined brightly, complementing her outer beauty! She will be missed.

In 1992, my husband, Bob, and I hosted Dottie and Art as he interviewed for a position of Associate Minister at Unity of Naples Church. I was impressed with their love for each other and their willingness to share that with our congregation. Dottie“s vibrancy and inspiration complimented their ministry during nine years of service. We appreciated what a great team they were. Thank you Dottie for being a dear friend and for being "a beacon of light."

Dottie's sparkle lit up the space around her! I'd never seen her at a loss for words, and her words were always so uplifting. Dottie found value in each moment, happily sharing her priceless gems of wisdom and being a grateful receiver. She now continues her soul's journey with her beloved Art in the dimension of spirit. Dottie, well done, good and faithful servant! Your gift of love lives on in the lives of all who are privileged to call you "friend!"

Dottie told me later that when I walked into her office for counseling during a difficult divorce, she knew that we would be friends. She rescued me from despair with her insightful counseling, and her premonition proved true as we became lifelong friends. Her contiuing love and support saw me through to happier days as she practiced her matchmaking skills until Art and Jim Rosemergy officiated at my wedding to Tony Eller. Tony and I had many wonderful times with Art and Dottie. They took us into their home in Ocala as Hurricane Wilma threatened our home in Naples. We asked for shelter for a night or two and ended up staying for a week. Ever the gracious hosts, they shared a wonderful time with us. I hold sweet memories of them in my heart.
Tony and I have made a donation in Dottie's memory to MACS.

One of my favorite memories is from when Jenna and I were kids. We used to spend a week with Nana and Grandpa Art. Every morning, Nana would have fresh blueberries ready for us. I also remember the times when we would hunt for fallen coconuts on the way home from the store. I adored her smile. She will be dearly missed.
