Dorothy "Penny" Pownall, 63, passed away Saturday, December 06, 2008 at Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis. Born in Cabin Creek, WV, she was a Configuration Manager with ITT for 20 years and was the past T.R.D.A. President. She loved to paint and was an avid Komets fan. Survivors include husband, Edwin "Ed" Pownall of Grabill; daughter, Gail Fortmeyer of Fort Wayne; son, Chris Pownall of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Dillon, and Michael Fortmeyer both of Fort Wayne; siblings, James Pentecost, Ruth Shelton both of VA, Charles Pentecost of Hammond, Affie Stump of VA, Anna Keith of Fort Wayne, Iris Craig of Fisher, and A.J. Pentecost of VA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, David and Paul Pentecost; and sister, Belva Green. Service is 2 p.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior, Charles Pentecost officiating. Calling also from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Autism Speaks.
