Douglas H. Brown Sr. departed Sunday August 22, 2010 in Piscataway. Born in Westfield, he lived in Plainfield over 60 years. He was employed at Lockheed Electronics in Watchung retiring after more than 30 years of service. Mr. Brown was a member of Ruth Fellowship Ministries in Plainfield and was a U. S. Army veteran during peacetime. He was predeceased by eight brothers and one sister. Surviving are his wife Florence Brown; two daughters Patricia Simmons (Elliott) of Plainfield and Lorna D. Hall (Howard S. Hall, Sr.) of Hanover, PA.; a niece who was raised as a daughter Renee Little (Rodney) of Bridgewater; two sons Douglas H. “Butch” Brown, Jr. of Baltimore, Md. and Leon C. Brown of Plainfield; six grandchildren Elliott D., Jonathan D. and Jordan D. Simmons, Keya D. Becker (Keith), Howard S. Hall, Jr. and Stephanee D. Lyell (Louis); five great grandchildren; one brother Lawrence “Wally” Brown of East Orange (Verdell) and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
