Douglas Gemberling, Sr. Obituary
Doug was born on June 29th, 1954, in Cocoa Beach, FL. He graduated from Mifflinburg Area High School in 1972. Doug also graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Technology at the age of 41 with an associate's degree in Applied Science. He went on to become the owner and operator of Gemberling's HVAC/R from 1991 to 2019. He later in life became a building supervisor with S.U.N. Habitat for Humanity.
Doug was blessed with a large and loving family, and was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, pop-pop and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He spent his free time playing bingo and loved taking trips, especially to Florida.
Doug was an active member of Christ United Lutheran Church (4 Bells) of Millmont, PA. Doug loved to spend time reading the Bible, as well as various books by Christian authors, and would spend hours engaging in conversations about them if given the opportunity.
Doug was predeceased by his mother, Joan E. Gemberling and his brother, Richard C. Gemberling Jr. He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Pearl; his 10 children; his 16 grandchildren; his father and stepmother; 2 brothers; 1 sister, and his cat Buttons.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Christ United Lutheran Church of Millmont, PA for the Hopes Haven food pantry (in memory of Douglas Gemberling Sr).
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
