I knew Doug from grade school and high school, but knew him best as the brother of Sarah and husband of Billie. Both families are in my thoughts; Doug was a heck of a guy, and I especially enjoyed his humor, which could swing from surreal to dry to playfully biting and back again at the drop of a hat.

Doug and Billy are the first people we met in Needham and immediately welcomed our family to this neighborhood together with all our neighbors. We are all still in utter disbelief. Every day I catch myself expecting to either see Doug walking up the street, or hear him screaming "hey Julie!" at the top of his lungs across the yard to Julie. He really made our neighborhood what it was for me and his spirit will always reside here and in our hearts. My deepest sympathy for Billy, Audrey and EJ, we will cherish all of our happiest memories together with Doug and your family, always. Sending love, love and more love, strength and resilience to all of you. Ilia, Victoria, Leah and Diana

We are deeply saddened by Doug's untimely passing. On behalf of our entire family, we want to express how much we treasured Doug´s friendship and steady presence in our lives.
He was always ready to help-no matter the task. Whether it was lending a hand, sharing advice, or quietly working behind the scenes to help keep our neighborhood safe, he did it with humility and heart. His dry sense of humor, warm smile, fun spirit, and unshakable kindness will be dearly missed.
We mourn the loss of someone who gave so much to those around him, and we send all our love and emotional strength to Billy, Audrey, and E.J. during this incredibly difficult time.
Doug made our lives better just by being in them, and we will never forget him.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Maritxu, Milena, Gilda, and Marcelo

I was deeply saddened to hear of Doug´s passing. My sincerest sympathies to Billy, his family and his extensive group of friends. He touched many hearts. I worked with Doug for six years at Wolf & Company. There was never a moment spent in Doug´s company when we did not have many laughs. Doug and I shared a love of buffoonery. There was no time more evident than when Doug showed up at a Wolf & Company holiday party dressed as Elf on a Shelf. See Doug and me below. This past May Doug sent me a birthday card with 3 two dollar bills enclosed. I am profoundly happy to be one of those people he touched; and he often did so by providing with free stuff from the Wolf & Company marketing swag closet (just kidding I was one of the owners of the Company so I paid 1/20th of that swag). I´ll always remember Doug.

Doug had such a big, caring heart. My husband had ALS. Doug, visiting in Florida, traveled several hours out of his way to play an afternoon of cribbage because he knew it would give Dick such pleasure. With fond memories.

I had the privilege of being Doug´s friend for over 35 years. He was an attendant in my wedding and a long time golfing partner. He was a joy to be with by sharing great stories, a quick smile, and a clever joke. He always made me smile. I will miss you, my friend.
