Mrs. Edith King Mahon

Edith King Mahon 96 of Franklin, Tennessee passed away peacefully February 15, 2024. Preceded in death by parents Dewey Carter and Fannie Davis Carter, husband Wesley A. King (1998) and husband James Mahon (2011), son Charles A. King and daughter Carolyn Faye Hayes and grandson Robert Jeffery Hayes.

A native of Knoxville, she graduated from Karns High School and was a lifelong resident of middle Tennessee.

A devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by son Kevin Michael King (Deborah), Franklin, Tn.

Grandsons Kevin Tyler King (Janet), Patrick Ryan King (Taylor), and Matthew King of Nashville, Tn.

Granddaughters Kimblery Mosley, Michelle Blaber (Ron), Mandy King

Great-grandchildren, Kathryn Belle King, Carter Johnson King, Charles Wesley King, Jack Ryan King, Henry Scott King, Edith Grace King, Wells Michael King, Miranda Lee (Brett), Brook Greenwood (Tyler) and Michael Mosley.

She is also survived by brother Davis Carter, Knoxville, TN; sister Betty Jo Harris, Cleveland, TN.; Daughter-in-Law Linda King, Murfreesboro and niece Angie Johnston, Nashville, TN

We would like to express our appreciation for the doctor and nursing staff, Unit 5C Saint Thomas West Hospital and the staff at Alive Hospice Nashville Residence for their compassionate care.

Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
