Funeral Services for Edith Lois "Beady" Parker, 80, of Whitesboro, will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Whitesboro, Texas, with Rev. Ken Hildebrand officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4th from 7 to 8 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro, Texas. She passed away in Gainesville, Texas, Monday, May 2nd with her family by her side. Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born to James Carl and Georgia Juanita (Orrell) Bishop on August 5, 1935 in Graham, Texas. She was born in a 2 room house in Graham, Texas and the youngest of 5 daughters, all with bright red hair. She raised 4 of her children on her own until she married Frank Dennis Parker who preceded her in death. She and her late husband, Frank, managed the Dairy Queen in Whitesboro for many years and made lifelong friendships. She was a strong willed and proud lady who loved to dance and was the glue that kept everything together. She especially enjoyed cooking (baking cakes) for her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Ann Parker Bell of Wichita Falls, Texas; three sons, Mark Rhea and wife, Mariann of Wichita Falls, Texas, Myrle Rhea and wife, Tammy of Whitesboro and Mitchel Rhea and wife, Sheri of Whitesboro; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Georgia (Orrell) Bishop and husband, Frank Parker; 1 daughter, Mareenia Sue Duncan of Klamath Falls, Oregon and four sisters.
