Edna L. Rost, 87, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Terre Haute Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 18, 1922, to John and Hettie Reeves, in Jasonville.
She is survived by three daughters, Susie Latham, Kathy Moreau, and Tammy Rost; 10 grandchildren, John, Amy, and Brian Latham, all of Troy, Ill., Kristy and Derrick Moreau of Belleville, Ill., Alisha Keen and Jake Stewart, both of Terre Haute, Lindsey, Michael, and Brandon Rost, all of Brazil; three great-grandchildren, Triston Keene, Ivy Latham, and Michaela Moreau; a son-in-law, Matt Moreau of Belleville; mother-in-law, Esther Rost of Terre Haute.
She was married 54 years to her late husband, Gerald "Pooch," who passed away in 2003. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Jerry and Mike Rost.
She was a graduate of Wiley High School and Indiana Business College. She was a member of American Legion Post 328 Ladies Auxiliary for 20 years. She worked as an accountant for several corporations and retired from Winslow Scale Inc. in 1977. Edna enjoyed dancing and cooking. She was an avid reader and gardener.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mattox-Fox Chapel, in Riley. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Pastor Thomas Manbeck will officiate. Burial is at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
