WILLSBORO — Edna Stella (Christian) Stoker, 82, of Stoker Lane, Willsboro, died peacefully at her home on Jan. 12, 2007, to join her husband in the House of the Lord. Edna was born on May 30, 1924, the daughter of Stella (Van Kort) Christian and Edmund J. Christian. She had four sisters and four brothers.

Mrs. Stoker lived in Reber until she married Anthony John Stoker Sr. in 1941 and moved to Willsboro. She resided at that address until her death. Edna was a homemaker who also worked at Northern Orchards picking apples for several years. She also worked summers at the Meadowmount School of Music as a cleaner.

Edna was well known for her flower gardens, canning fruits and vegetables from the family garden and embroidery and quilt making. She also enjoyed berry picking and puzzles.

Edna and her husband had 13 children, Arnold of Willsboro, Wayne and Linda of Willsboro, Georgianna Bouyea of Plattsburgh, Suzanne Schenck of Grass Valley, Calif., Phoebe and Roger Decker of Alder Creek, Polly and Robert Broomfield of Plattsburgh, Pauline and Michael Hammond of Spokane, Wash., Shirley Connors and Pat Collins, her partner, of Keeseville, Julia and Larry Lapier of Plattsburgh, Anthony Jr. and Beverly of Willsboro, Alice and Francis Ouimette of AuSable Forks, Nancy and Leslie Ryan of Lewis and Gary Stoker and partner Dennis Everleth of Willsboro. Mrs. Stoker also leaves behind 30 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Anthony John Stoker Sr.; one daughter, Elaine; and three sons-in-law, John Joy, Phillip Reynolds and Joe Bouyea; three grandchildren, Melissa Reynolds, Angel Hemingway and James Baker.

Calling hours will be held at the Huestis Funeral Home, 25 Maple St., Willsboro, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
