Growing up in Laceyville, he attended the Laceyville High School. In 1944, Ed married Estelle (Stella) Deleski and started their life and family together on their dairy farm on Doolittle Hill, known as Doolittle Hill Farms, where they raised their four children.
Ed started working at the Laceyville Creamery, where he worked for more than 10 years. While working his dairy farm, Ed was also employed at Bendix Corp. in South Montrose, for over 35 years, retiring in 1995. When Ed had some free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He took great pride in the landscaping around his home and farm. Ed also enjoyed gardening and tending his fruit trees, and in his later years, he enjoyed his long walks with his favorite dog, Brooke. Ed was a member of the St. Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church in Meshoppen, Pa., and he was also a member of the South Auburn Grange No. 1188.
Beside his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Estelle (Stella) Frances Deleski, who passed away on June 11, 2007. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Lottie Kamarauskas; and two brothers, John Boyanowski and Stephen Boyanowski.
He is survived by his three sons, Robert Boyanowski and his wife, Betty, of Lawton, Pa.; Steven Boyanowski and his wife, Judy, of Mehoopany, Pa.; and Dennis Boyanowski and his wife, Sherre, of Laceyville, Pa.; his daughter, Cindy Pickett, and her husband, Curt, of Laceyville, Pa.; along with his 11 loving grandchildren and his six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his two sisters, Barbara Marabell, of St. Augustine, Fla.; and Helen Stewart, of Erie, Pa.; his three brothers, Donald Boyanowski, of Lexington, Ky.; Ronald Boyanowski, of Mansfield, Pa.; and Arthur Boyanowski, of Lake Carey, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday May 29, 2008, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. from the St. Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church in Meshoppen, Pa., with Fr. Ron Hughes, of the church, officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joachim’s Cemetery in Meshoppen, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial donations to the South Auburn Grange No. 1188, c/o Mrs. Bea Gardner, RR 2, Meshoppen, PA 18630.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.
