COLVIN, EDWARD
72, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Janice M. (DiGennaro) Colvin for 43 years and a son of the late Thomas and Marion (Whelpley) Colvin. Edward was a union carpenter for Local #94 for 50 years. He was a perfectionist when it came to his work as a skilled craftsman with wood. He especially enjoyed helping family and friends with their construction projects. Edward was the father of Edward Colvin, Jr. (Kandace), and Kimberly Seebeck (John); brother of Robert Colvin, Viola Copenhaver, and the late Arthur and Richard Colvin, Marion Leach, and Janet Becker; grandfather of Tatum and Tessa Seebeck, Matthew and Jack Colvin; lifelong friend of Billy Turner. Edward loved children and animals especially his dog, Timmy. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, and yard work.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4-6 pm with a service to follow at 6 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to A Wish Come True, Inc., (a charity for children), 1010 Warwick Ave., Warwick, RI 02888 will be appreciated. We are saddened to hear of Ed's passing. He was a fine carpenter and superintendent with a passion for perfection. It was a pleasure knowing him and working alongside him. He will be missed.

When we were in the boat out in Brush Neck cove in back of Bobby Enos's house Eddy saved me from probably drowning in the mud.We were around 16.
