Edward Peck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 24, 2025.
Edward "Eddie/Papa/Pepe/Pecky" Peck passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 11, 2025.

Eddie was born on March 22, 1939, in Sharon, MA, to Lawrence and Caroline Peck, and lived alongside his elder sister, Farley, and younger brother, Bobby. A lifelong resident of Sharon, Eddie spent his formative years tinkering and racing with the Drag-Lynx hot-rod club. In his middle years, he helped neighbors settle into new homes through his company, E.H. Peck Movers, and later preserved local history as a proud member of the Sharon Historical Society, where he shared stories about the town he so deeply loved.

He was forever grateful to his friend Skippy for the invitation that changed his life-a double date with the Reisman twins that introduced him to Carol-his lifelong dance partner. From that night on, they were inseparable. They married, raised two daughters, Debbie and Barbara, and never missed their Friday night date to catch up with friends at their favorite spot, the 99.

Eddie's towering, flannel-clad stature and booming laugh were only matched by his generosity. He taught generations of family members how to drive and provided many with their first cars. He was always there to lend a hand-finding work for friends, helping people move, and even giving away the rug from his living room when someone needed it more.

Though we miss him dearly, we know he'll never truly be gone, as Eddie's strong presence continues to fill every room.

Eddie is preceded in death by his mother, Caroline, father, Lawrence, sister Farley and her husband Byron Coombs, and sister-in-law Lillian "Tiny" Hughes. He is survived by his wife and "right arm," Carol; daughters Debbie Kiely and her husband, Steve; Barbara Peck and her husband, Peter Duhamel; brother Robert Peck and his wife, Margot; sister-in-law Judy Porter and her husband, Stu; brother-in-law David Hughes; grandchildren Allison and Tom Kiely, Jonathan and Sydney Cote; nieces Marcia, Linda, Rebecca; nephews Peter, Kevin, David, Jon, Joel, Kyle, and Leo; and many beloved cousins and friends.

A celebration of life for Eddie will be held on Friday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, MA-honoring the journey of a lovable hellion, as his family affectionately called him, who grew into the chutzpah-filled mensch we all knew and loved.

Sending my deepest condolences to the family and his beloved wife, Carol. On behalf of the Michael, J Connolly and son´s bus company in Sharon. Eddie was a great worker, a friend. We will miss his humor, his smile, his stories of history and his dedicated work as a Bus Driver. Eddie R.I.P.

He was a great man and an even greater friend. Although we didn´t see each other often he was always in my thoughts and conversation. He was like my second dad. So sorry. Anthony Bosari.
