Herb, I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. I was told about this a week ago by MOW staff, but sorry to just be sending this now.
My deepest condolences to you, Herb.

I was so saddened today hearing that Eileen, a woman who holds such a special place in my heart, has passed on.
I was very privileged having the Kiels as neighbours while growing up. I have wonderful memories of the countless times our families shared together - right out of “Leave It To Beaver”! Herb and dad never tired of pushing us kids around the block in homemade go-carts, setting up tents in the backyard for sleepovers, filling the wading pools or flooding our garden to skate. All the while, Eileen was busy orchestrating goodies and surprises that so beautifully complimented these events. She was always there smiling, more often than not chuckling, while thoroughly savouring these moments together.
Eileen never got mad, or maybe we were just perfect children, as I can never recall her loosing her temper or scolding any of us. The Kiel house was indeed the place to hang out! Eileen was a wonderful mother, a devoted wife, an exceptional neighbour and a real treasure to know. That twinkle in her eye will sorely be missed, but she will forever live on in our memories. I was truly blessed having her in my life while growing up in Westmont.
My warm thoughts are with you Herb, Darwin, Lori and families, as you confront the huge loss of Eileen's passing. She touched the lives and hearts of many while on this earth and with that, lives on.
With love and fond remembrance,

Herb: I am sorry to learn of your loss. Eileen had such a wonderful smile which could light up a room. Your devotion to her since she suffered a bad stroke speaks well of your wonderful marriage. Dick O,Connor
