Elena Eaton-Budge

Elena Bosworth Eaton-Budge Elena Bosworth Eaton-Budge, 79, died of natural causes at home. Elena was the only child of Carl and Libby Bosworth of Watsonville. She attended the Convent of the Sacred in Menlo Park and earned a degree in History from Stanford University.
While employed by the San Francisco Chronicle, Elena was set up by her first cousin, Patricia Bosworth, on a blind date with Howard Eaton Jr., who was a native New Yorker, a Yale Graduate, and an advertising executive. They were married in Manhattan in 1960. Their daughter, Brooke Bosworth Eaton, was born three years later. Howard died in 2000, their 40 - year marriage was filled with love and laughter.
Elena was blessed to have been loved by and to have loved two wonderful men. In 2003, she married William Budge of Hillsborough and came back full circle to Northern California.
A life long democrat, Elena had strong beliefs in equality, land conservation, and social justice. In the end it was her humor and joie du vivre that made her a beloved wife, mother, and friend.
Elena is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter Brooke, her cousin Patti, and her cat Isabella.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 10 at 10:00 am at St. Catherine's in Burlingame. Crosby N. Gray & Co. is handling the arrangements.
